Annie Harris, President
Ms. Harris serves as president of our board. As a long-time resident of Chicago’s south side, Ms. Harris has developed many important connections to the area, including her role as the Superintendent of Adult Education at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church
Lez E. Trujillo
Ms. Trujillo is Deputy Director with Affordable Housing Centers of America. She established the Public Affairs office to increase visibility and funding sustainability, and launched the communications department and new donors’ development program. She is a member of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs.
Ms. Brown was recently Acting President and Program Director at the Woods Fund of Chicago. In January 2001, she began her philanthropic career as a Program Officer at the Grand Victoria Foundation. She has served as co-chair of the Leadership in Philanthropy Committee, Affordable Housing Funders Group and Grantmakers Concerned with Poverty and board member of Chicago Women in Philanthropy. A native of Los Angeles, Consuella holds a master’s degree in political science from Illinois State University and a bachelor’s degree in legal studies/women’s studies from Scripps College.
Ms. McDowell is a long time resident of the Austin community on Chicago’s west side. She has been a community activist and leader for over a decade. She is a retired home day-care provider. She is passionate about helping her community empower themselves and has dedicated. Jerry has been a member of the Living World Christian Center since 1998 under the direction of Pastor Bill Winston.
