Katelyn Johnson, Executive Director
Katelyn Johnson is a graduate of North Park University, with over a decade of outreach experience including leadership development, civic engagement and community organizing. Katelyn was named Executive Director of Action Now Institute in 2010 and continues to work with community partners, parents, and schools leaders in order to find solutions to many community issues and uplift the voices of concerned community members in order to achieve change. Dan Kleinman, Policy Director
Dan is the Policy Director with Action Now and the Action Now Institute where he manages the foreclosure outreach project, researches relevant state and city policy initiatives impacting the lives of working families throughout Illinois. Dan is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago where he learned first hand the power of leadership style consensus building as Student Body President. Prior to joining Action Now Institute Dan worked as a housing advocate and organizer for local nonprofits. He then turned his focus to politics where he utilized his organizing skills and housing rights knowledge in his work for Alderman Ameya Pawar, organizing a ward council and block club network, and for Cook County Commissioner Bridget Gainer, performing a community assessment of the foreclosure crisis affecting Cook County.
Aileen Kelleher, Communications
Aileen is the Communications Director for Action Now Institute using innovative media strategies to engage and inform Illinois residents about relevant policies, issues and resources and spotlight ANI programs, events and initiatives.
